The new swivel stool by Bene adds dynamism to the office. The TIMBA stool integrates itself in a relaxed and easy manner into informal collaboration and team zones of a modern office. With its consciously informal style, the TIMBA stool uses a clear counterpoint to the strictness of classic seating. It contributes to create an atmosphere in which communication and creativity can develop freely. The TIMBA stool is open for the versatility of today's work methods and is the ideal seating solution for team work and informal exchange.
The round seat of the stool swivels and ensures ideal mobility whilst talking. A model with a backrest is ALSO available, which provides more stability as a storage place or support. The padded seat is made of high quality, glass fibre reinforced plastic in off-white or dark grey and can be covered with any fabric, leather or colours from the Bene spectrum.
TIMBA stool scores with the use of wood as the characteristic material. The four slightly tapered legs create a conical shape towards the ground and are made of solid oak, either natural or stained in graphite. The high quality, natural material gives a charming cosy touch and solidity.
The TIMBA stool is not only suitable for office zones, but also looks great in areas like cafeterias or even in homes.

Tom Lloyd and Luke Pearson impressively demonstrate time and time again what it is that distinguishes high-quality industrial design – being able to take knowledge about the continually changing nature of the ways we work, possibilities offered by production methods and the conditions in which we live and then intelligently applying this to new products and utilisation concepts. Their aim is to transform the office into a more humane, liveable and inspirational place. They question the technoid aesthetic that tends to dominate in working environments – an approach they share with the office furniture expert Bene.Cooperation between PearsonLloyd and Bene began with the development of a completely new, unconventional furniture collection, which engendered a new way of thinking about life in the office.
We’re of the opinion that too many workplaces are stuck in this old way of thinking that an employee is only at work when they are sitting at a desk.The PARCS furniture line is a response to the increasing prominence of knowledge work in modern offices, a type of work that requires new ways of defining spaces and new, inspirational furniture. Traditional office layouts need a sensible rethink, one that focuses on communication and exchange. The working environment should provide space not just for cooperation and teamwork, but also spaces where people can withdraw when they need to concentrate. One such alternative solution for the workplace is offered by the DOCKLANDS series, which was developed specifically to address employees’ requirements related to completing temporary tasks or engaging in focused individual work.The latest result of the successful cooperation between PearsonLloyd and Bene is RIYA: a swivel chair that impresses users with its unique aesthetic and functional characteristics. The chair easily adapts to the user’s body. RIYA thus encourages transitions between the various zones and areas of an open office and represents a new kind of open, humane office culture.
