The Raddison Red Silo 6 project in Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront is a prime example of how the integrity of an international brand can be maintained through local implementation of the corporate identity, interior design footprint and bespoke furniture.
The design brief from international interior design firm Grave and local design company Source IBA was to supply and install exactly the same international brands of furniture specified for the chain of Raddison Red hotels abroad. The result is that the famous and funky roof-top bar, restaurant and pool areas, as well as the ground floor outdoor café are colorfully adorned with specialty outdoor furniture pieces from Italian Magis Design’s Chair One, Stool One and Table One ranges.
The ample ground floor dining areas boast international furniture brands such as the Broom chair and Broom stool ranges from Emeco, Italy and Ikon Tables from Pedrali, Italy. The welcoming ground floor Reception features two Buzzi Space acoustic telephone booths which complete a very user-friendly and service-driven environment for guests and visitors.
